Welcome to Sunday Mornings at LACPC!
COVID and FIRE Update:
We are currently meeting for Sunday school during the 8:30 AM outdoor worship service. We are following the same Bible stories that Pastor Bill is using on Sunday mornings. Hope to see you soon! Below you will find what a normal Sunday morning looks like when we are back to our normal Sunday schedule..
Welcome to worship! This is a special time we spend with God. You belong to God’s family and we are glad that you have come to worship God with us. As you enter the sanctuary an usher will hand you a bulletin with activities that match the scripture readings you might hear. You will also see a basket with special worship bags in it. Each bag has a paper explaining the different parts of the worship service. You will also find bookmarks to mark the Bible verses and hymns. In the pews you will find a special book called A Children’s Guide to Worship. The church mice on every page of this book will help you understand the plan for worship. Look in the bulletin and see if you see some of the same mice. Can you tell what they are doing? Children age four and older participate in the beginning of the worship service with their parents. They are invited to attend Sunday school after the children’s message.
School Year Sunday School: Age 4 – Grade 2
The age 4 – grade 2 class participates in a special hands-on program called Young Children and Worship. This program is an exciting way to help children experience God while learning about God. The key to this approach is a worship context for telling and working with Biblical stories. We are very excited about this new adventure in learning.
School Year Sunday School: Grade 3-6
The older elementary class uses Feasting on the Word Tween Curriculum. Each week the lesson the kids learn about in Sunday School will be the same passage their parents learn about in the Worship Service. The children’s bulletins will match up too. This provides an opportunity for families to talk together about what was said in Worship or Sunday School.
